
2024 National Junior Olympics
The USA Water Polo Junior Olympic Championships is the largest age group water polo tournament in the Nation. Athletes and teams come from across the country to compete on the national stage. The 2024 Junior Olympics Tournament will take place in the San Jose area.

Boys 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U

Requirements
All athletes must have a Gold level USA Water Polo membership.
Participate in SOPAC qualifying tournament.
Registered for the summer session for Elite
Attend Elite JO's Pre-Meeting (In June, TBD)
Registration Fees

$465 - All JO athletes must be registered for the Summer Session.

$180 - SOPAC Zone Junior Olympic Qualifying Tournament (June). Cost is an estimate.

$325 to $355: - USA WP National Junior Olympic Championships (July 15-23) Cost is an estimate
Age Determination
Your age group is determined by the age of your athlete on August 1st.
Birthdate Verification is required and is completed on USAwaterpolo.com

Roster Lockdown
Roster Verification is the process of submitting a roster within USA Water Polo. There are specified dates which are called "Roster Lockdown dates." You must register well in advance and have your membership requirements in order to avoid last minute stress.
Expectations

Session registration is a separate fee from all tournaments.

JO athletes begin training from the winter session and compete in about 6-8 tournaments.

Our official USA WP Junior Olympic rosters will be named within five business days following the conclusion of the JO Qualifying Tournament. The Junior Olympics Tournament fee must be paid prior to June 15th (1 month in advance).

We want to encourage character and community, so we expect good practice and competition attendance to be considered for a roster.

The tournament and session participation fee is exclusive of any additional expenses for parent hotel rooms, food, etc. All athletes that stay in team rooms will share the cost of that room.

Athletes must be registered in the Elite Water Polo Program and USA water polo.

Athletes must be registered with USA WP as Gold Athletes (Club #1396) prior to May 15th (3 weeks prior to quals).

Athletes must complete the Date of Birth verification on the USA Water Polo website.

Athletes must attend the SOPAC Zone Junior Olympic Qualifying Tournament. (dates/sites posted on the calendar)

A maximum of 15 athletes per team may be named to a Water Polo USA WP National Junior Olympics roster.
